Wet Bank Holiday

Lying in a sleeping bag and listning to non stop rain lost its romanticism this weekend, but it was the first night spent on the boat and a kind of bonding took place, a kind of getting to know each other. Ellen was forthcoming showing me all her leaks. Not much work got done but I made lots of new notes to add to my collection of old notes.

An Origo 3000 burner Pic was purchased on ebay. This uses meths, but to avoid the nasty smell that normal blue meths produces, I have applied to Her Majesty's Customs and Excise, over a month ago, for a licence to purchase denatured alcohol which smells less, still haven't heard back from them. I have made gimbels for the burner, and the galley area has now jumped to the top of the list, as making all those extra notes makes having a tea break an essential part of refitting.
